Certification IntroductionThe UAE's product quality regulatory authority is ESMA (UAE Standards and Metrology Authority). ESMA has developed a set of "UAE Product Certification Scheme" to ensure that products meet international standards and have independent assurance of quality and safety. According to the announcement issued by ESMA in the United Arab Emirates, products (including electrical and electronic products) within the scope of ECAS registration and certification should be marked with the ECAS logo and NB number.Certification meaningnessThe ECAS certification scheme guarantees compliance with approved standards for products entering the UAE, not only in terms of product quality but also in terms of safety. All products related to public life, health and safety, and products that affect the environment and the UAE economy are included in the scheme. In addition, ECAS will include locally produced products in the program to ensure the quality of these products and make them competitive in the global market.Applicable product scopeThe scope of the ECAS program includes electrical, electronic and gas appliances, machinery, automotive, building and construction, cosmetics and food and other industries, such as: electrical/electronic products including Energy Efficiency Standard Labeling (EESL), Restriction of Hazardous Substances (RoHS), Potential Electrical equipment in explosive atmospheres (ECASEx), lighting products and low voltage equipment (LVE).ECAS certification not only includes safety, but also covers possible aspects such as safety testing, performance testing, functional inspection, and hazardous substance testing of electronic appliances (but does not include wireless testing, which is controlled by TRA certification). Generally speaking, ordinary electrical products only have safety testing requirements, but air conditioners, refrigerators, washing machines, and lamps are also subject to EESL energy efficiency control and require energy efficiency testing. Lamps are special and have four test requirements. Therefore, if the controlled lamps and lanterns are exported to the UAE, they must complete the reports of the four test standards and submit them together, apply for the COC certificate covering the four standards, complete the EESL registration, and affix the energy efficiency label before they can successfully clear customs and enter the UAE market. From May 1, 2019, all ITE information products and AV audio and video products entering the UAE must apply for mandatory ECAS certification.Application information1. Valid UAE industry/trade business license (local company name, address, contact information) 2. CB test report (if applicable, the product must also meet tropical climate conditions) 3. PID – Product Identity Declaration Product Conformity Declaration ( Only required for multiple application models) 4. Appearance photos including product labels and country of origin 5. User manuals in Arabic and English 6. For home appliances (such as air conditioners, refrigerators, washing machines, dishwashers, etc.) Energy Efficiency Performance Report Application EESL 7. For electronic products, the plug part must comply with ESMA requirements such as BS 1363 or BS 546. Precautions· ESMA and port customs authorities will take appropriate action on shipments that do not have an ECAS registration certificate. · Only goods with a valid ECAS registration certificate and a valid ECAS compliance mark can enter the UAE. · ESMA reserves the right to conduct spot checks on the market. ESMA will regularly conduct sample tests in retail stores or manufacturers' warehouses, and the test results will serve as the basis for the renewal or cancellation of the product registration certificate. · ESMA also reserves the right to conduct factory inspections at any time to ensure that products are fully compliant. · The ECAS registration certificate is valid for one year. Registration is required to be renewed one month before the certificate of registration expires.

Certification IntroductionVietnam's MIC department issued an announcement in early 2016 that from October 1 this year, all lithium batteries, including those sold independently and used in terminal products (notebooks, tablets, mobile phones, etc.), will require DOC certificates (standard number: QCVN 101:2006/BTTTT). The above products will also be required to provide the DoC of the battery when doing the Vietnam MIC certification. On July 4, 2016, the MIC department considered that the cycle of product testing and certification was too long, and battery manufacturers did not have enough time to meet the certification requirements, and issued a notice again: postpone the implementation of the mandatory certification date of battery products to April 1, 2017 .The following is the notice that Vietnam MIC postponed the implementation of the compulsory certification of battery products: the Ministry of Information and Communications of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam (MIC), for the electromagnetic interference and communication products of information products, the implementation of mandatory related TCVN/TCN standard specification. Certification IntroductionJapan's Giteki certification as a whole relies on the Japanese Ministry of Internal Affairs (そうむしょう), (English full name Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications, referred to as MIC) promulgated "Radio Wave Law" でんぱほう and "Electric Communication Business Law" でんきつうしんじCertification based on ぎょうほう.As long as wireless products such as Bluetooth speakers, laptops, mobile phones, and Bluetooth headsets are sold in Japan, Giteki certification is required. And on the product label, affix or print the giteki logo and the issued number. Without this certification, direct sales in Japan are illegal and subject to severe penalties. The full name of Telec is: General Financial Corporation テレコムエンジニアリングセンター (Telecom Engineering Center). In the early days, it was the first legal organization in Japan to conduct radio wave certification, so some people in mainland China mistakenly believe that Japan's giteki certification is telec certification. In fact, in the early days, TELEC could only certify the radio wave of giteki, but not the telecommunication business. Of course, in July 2014, TELEC finally obtained the certification qualification of the Japanese telecommunication business. Main products that need to be certified by GITEKI1.
